Flory
My family is descended from Johannes Flohri, one of three brothers that came to Philadelphia
from Germany in 1754.
Ken Florey maintains a detailed history and genealogy of several related
family names: Flory, Flora, Florey, Florea and Flori.
Capra
My husband's family is from
Cavargna, Italy. Two Capra brothers married two Bernali sisters and moved
to the US, probably in the second half of the 19th century. We've
never found any relationship to
Frank Capra, but he's from Sicily in the south, while Cavargna is
in the north, so any relationship is unlikely to be close, if it exists at all.
